The 2013 Summit will focus on Partnerships against Poverty: Finance, Government, Business and Civil Society. It will provide an opportunity for participants to delve into some of the most advanced and successful examples of public-private partnerships (PPP) in the microfinance field, all while bringing together the relevant parties that can work together to elevate these programs to a large scale, including government regulators, microfinance practitioners, product design experts, providers of support services, and heads of institutional multinational banks. These different actors will meet with their peers and counterparts from all over the world to engage in a deep dialogue around challenges and opportunities, and work together on our collective mission to eradicate extreme poverty in the near future.

Below you will find the 5 tracks that will be featured at the 2013 Summit. Please visit the Tracks Page to read the descriptions of each of the tracks. In addition, click here to see the members that make up our Advisory Committee for the 2013 Summit.

  2. I think this is one of the most vital information for me. And i am glad reading your article. But should remark on few general things, The site style is great, the articles is really great : D. Good job, cheers

  3. In the program more new penalists, business, chairmans; discussants should get preference according to their experience. More case studies, research findings, action research experiences should get preference. I chaired a business session in ASia Pacific Regional Microcredit Summit held at Bali Indonesia o 28 July,2008 which attracted attention many delegates in the globe. I hope in the phillipines conference, you will involve me in any capacity (Business Chair, Penalists, Discussants) as I have special interest in Micrifinance; worked in this line for more than a decade. More time should be given on discussion in the program. There shoule be new thematic area like climate change impact on the clients of MFIs.

  5. Until when is the nomination for speakers open?

  6. Heema Khadka says:

Could you please share the schedule and thematic area ?

  7. The graphics on the webpage for the 2013 Summit is really great. It’s only seems that the pictures and illustrations used on the page put more emphasis on agricultural production and fishing activities. I just see it rather important to put more emphasis on the micro-entrepreneurial activities that microfinance primarily intends to cater and develop. Relevance of the page may also be improved and gain greater advocacy by reflecting the human face of the enterprising poor , reflections of their vulnerabilities and struggles, illustrations depicting the vast potentials and impact contribution of the local micro sector to the national economy and most important are photos and illustrations of success on the faces and smiles of those who are able to lift themselves out of poverty because of micro-finance.
